Mark D'Aguiar is an analytical, motivated and solutions-oriented biologist with a diverse academic and professional history spanning terrestrial and aquatic research. Mark D'Aguiar' s in-depth scientific training is complemented by concrete undergraduate and graduate research, extensive field work and practical job experience. Mark D'Aguiar has worked as a Terrestrial and Wetland Biologist for a major consulting firm conducting complete floral and fauna species inventories in support of various environmental impact assessments. He has also worked as a fisheries research biologist where he was tasked with monitoring the potential invasion avenues for an invasive fish species within the Great Lakes. Hes has successfully contributed to sea lamprey control reserach through a comprehensive graduate research thesis.

*Set up and conduct hydroacoustic telemetry to monitor potential avenues of Asian carp in the event of invasion into the Upper Great lakes. *Actively collect and process fisheries data using active and passive fishing gear, including electofishing from the St. Mary's River and Lake Huron tributaries. *Collect and process water chemistry samples (conductivity, Chlorophyll A, pH, DO, eDNA) using multifaceted electronic meters. *Sample benthic macroinvertebrate using Ponar and Ekman Dredges. * Provide supervision to summer students, and assist with operation and maintenance of all field gear and vehicles.
